Zen Way would like our artists to be Divinely Inspired. Artists of Color are under the stress and pressure of the colonial system and the demands to create for the financial market. Zen Way's vision is to attract renowned and emerging artists who need a space to decompress and create a void of what the salable market is driving them to produce.
Embracing the Zen Way, artists can develop a body of work that aligns with this philosophy, providing them with the same level of affordability as many of their non-marginalized peers.
The Artist in Residency Initiative of Zen Way is a direct support system for our Core Youth Program, T.H.E.M. This initiative ensures that students in the T.H.E.M. program have immediate access to both Professional and Emerging artists who actively engage in the Residency Program.
